Coombe Lodge Wedding in Bristol
The bank holiday weekend in August can be hit or miss with weather in the UK. Truth be told, any public holiday or summer can be tricky. However, this year the sun was out for Beth and James and we couldn’t have wished for a better day. After having to postpone their wedding from 2020, this Coombe Lodge wedding was exactly what they hoped for.

This stunning wedding venue in Bristol has it all, a beautiful country house, acres of land, a cute little garden and lovely food.
As the weather was beautiful, the ceremony took place outside on the courtyard with views to Blagdon Lake. Beth walked with both of her parents to meet James. After saying their “I-do’s” and lots of colourful confetti, I took the newlyweds for a scenic walk around the venue, while the guests were having cocktails. My favourite spot must have been the little garden, with apples trees, lots of flowers and spectacular views.
At sunset, we had another chance to explore the area around Coombe Lodge. We ventured outside the venue’s grounds, into the fields for a bit of dancing in the last rays of sunshine, whilst their friends were cheering on from the distance.

One thing worth mentioning is that this is one seriously talented family. Beth made the wedding cake, after discovering her baking skills during lockdown and setting up a little online shop with baked biscotti. James made all the signage and his mum did stationary on the day. Just have a look below how well they did.
The beautiful flower arrangements and Beth’s bouquet were done by Kristi from Wolf & Thistle. Beth’s bridal dress was from & Wolf Bridal Studio from Marlborough in Wiltshire.
I could go on and tell you that there were speeches and cake and first dance, but all you have to do know is that there was sooooo much love and emotions floating around that you could get intoxicated just on this alone.
